About Food Blog School

Hi, I'm Jennifer Osborn — founder of Food Blog School and longtime food blogger..

I got the idea to start this site after having my first $500 day from my ad revenue on my food blog. (Spoiler: not every day is a $500 day — but they're more common than you'd think, especially during Q4 when everyone’s frantically Googling recipes like their life depends on it.)

I'm a great person to guide you, new food blogger, on launching and monetizing your food blog — mainly because it took me ten years to figure it out myself. That means I've made just about every mistake you can imagine, and now I can help you skip a lot of the pain and get to the good stuff faster.

Over the years, I've:

  • Taken courses
  • Watched webinars
  • Been in mastermind groups with some seriously successful six-figure bloggers
  • Tried, tested, and tweaked pretty much everything in food blogging

I'm here to help you with every step — from choosing your niche to launching your blog to building an email list that people actually want to be on.

I also run the dessert site Kitchen Serf, and I’ve been a full-time professional writer for over 30 years. So if you need a hand with blog writing, storytelling, or making your readers feel things, I’m your gal.

My love affair with food blogs started a long time ago — Canelle et Vanille was the first one I ever found, followed closely by Averie Cooks. I was hooked on the gorgeous photos, the recipes, the little peeks into people's lives.

Food blogging has evolved a lot since then (and then again... and again... and again). But the heart of it is the same: you’re sharing recipes, photos, and your own personal spark with your readers.

One more thing: You can totally do this without spending a fortune.

I hit my goal of 100,000 sessions a month and joined Raptive (formerly AdThrive) using just my iPhone 13 Pro. I own a fancy DSLR... but honestly, my phone made everything faster, easier, and better. If I can get onto a major ad network with an iPhone and determination, you absolutely can too.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me drinking espresso, talking to my cats, or texting my grown son who lives in Denver. (Probably doing all three at once.)

Let’s get you launched, growing, and earning.
You’ve got this — and I’ve got you. ✨

Welcome!

I help new food bloggers launch, grow, and get monetized — without needing a fancy camera or a million-dollar budget. If you're ready to turn your recipes into revenue, you're in the right place.
